@ Shanry: the episodes were converted to mp4 (psp compatible) with the assumption that it’d be suitable for ipod too. If it’s not, then you’d have to download our AVI’s and convert them to ipod compatible yourself.

@ Akshay: Oh, sorry, i forgot about that. Will do that soon.

The diffrence is that FMA Brotherhood fallows the manga more.

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST is the former anime title, in the beginning until almost the half of the story, the story goes the same like in the manga, but later it’s different. and it has a sequel too, called Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa. the series went in 2005 and the sequel in 2006.. if I’m not wrong. yeah.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, is a kind of remake of the anime, the producter, the art, is different. and most likely the story is the same with the manga…

Hmm strange, i was able to get the subtitles fine for 13.

Then again i use vlc player to open mkv.

It’s a soft subs. If you don’t know how to turn on the subtitles option, then just use VLC Player. Download VLC player here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html (for Windows, including Vista).

I was pleased with the first episode. Good quality, decent size resolution, so that the pixels would be too spread, and the subtitles were good, but episode two, the resolution was bigger, which would have been fine if the quality of the video and subtitles hadn’t go down.

@ Jay : If you are very concern about the quality of the video, just download the MKV’s, or the AVI which labeled as “HQ”. Check the filesize on the download page. If the filesize is bigger, the better quality it’d be. I don’t provide wide selection of file formats for no reason. MKV’s are always THE BEST quality of all file formats.

Yeah, sorry about that. I’ve stated on the comments that there was a problem with my converter, so i had to use different converter.

Mediafire limits only 100mb per file. Higher quality means bigger filesize. In my experience people don’t like downloading in parts.

The AVI’s are KGSubs, and the MKV’s are Tomodachi & AsunoSubs. Tomodachi & AsunoSubs’ works are as good as Eclipse, guys. Give them a try. Sorry to disappoint, but Eclipse haven’t released episode 15 even now.

For those who have been downloading from this site, you should already know and aware that this (ep 15) is NOT the first time we use releases from Tomodachi & AsuNoSubs. Take a look at past episodes before ep 15, we have been using Tomodachi & AsuNoSubs for quite a few episodes. If you still want to wait for Eclipse, it’s your choice, but i won’t be uploading Eclipse release for ep 15 because they’re way late.

Just to warn those who might be kinda picky like me, the KGsubs version of #15 is really high quality video and sound… but the subtitles are pretty much Engrish. It’s kind of annoying to have to try and figure out whatever the subtitler meant by stuff like “You are very good, I just get it high.”

Meiro, i used a psp converter, and i always tested the episodes on my psp to make sure they work. If they don’t work on ipod i can’t do nothing much about it because i don’t have an ipod. Maybe i should just put them as “psp compatible”.

@ Ben: you mean, the Megaupload links? I’ve tried them and they seemed fine. If what you meant was “torrent”, and if you are not familiar with torrents, you have to download bittorrent client like uTorrent or Vuze and install it on your computer first.

ElricBrotherLover, try download the PSP compatible one, it “might” work on ipod.

Deater, these mp4 files are meant for PSP or iPod. In case you didn’t notice, PSP and iPod’s screens are SMALL, which is why these mp4’s are in small screen resolution and of low quality if they were to be played on a computer. If you want high quality for computer playback, pls download the MKV’s or AVI’s.

Gh.S, you don’t need to “apologize”, it’s not necessary. As everyone might have noticed, i’m very straight forward, i don’t go around the bushes with things.

Anyway, thing is, RMVB has been working like a charm with many other, and personally it’s the format i prefer other than AVI. By the way, you mentioned “meGUI”. It’s just a “converter”, like many other converters out there. What important is WHAT FORMAT it converts to, whether AVI, RMVB, MP4, MKV, DAT, DVX, ASX, the list goes on for video formats that exist. From what i know, meGUI converts to MP4, MKV, and AVI for videos. So WHICH ONE of this formats do you want? Knowing WHAT format do you want will get us to the business, not what converter. MeGUI might be able to output a video to as small as <100MB because of other video settings it puts as “default” like its framerate/sec, bitrate, screen resolutions, and many other factors.

Ben, where do you want it to be uploaded? The AVI’s size is 673MB, and most download sites like Sendspace and Filefactory can’t handle that big of a file unless it is being put in parts. I’m not sure about Rapidshare. I think Megaupload allows a file that big, but i haven’t checked if it’d only be available to premium users. I’ll try to upload it to MU tomorrow.

Yub, if could it be converted to MP4 with X264 and bit-rate around 387 kbps for video, and 46 kbps for audio using NeroACC, it will be much better than rmvb and a it will be about 70 MB. You know that MegUI uses presets profiles and the best as I checked on most sites is ( DXVA-SD-Anime_Toons HQ ) but you’ll need to change the bit-rate into 387 kbps because in this preset profile it’s 1000 kbps.

Erm, I just want to say something, but the movie… i thought that there were really actually PART 1 and PART 2… a complete movie that were divided into two parts…. however… that is not the case.

I downloaded them both,… and i found out that they were both the same…. T_T Complete movie with different format to them…

I can’t find any good resources to tell me where it’s being used and all of the pages i find for converting, are telling me how to convert away from rm/rmvb. I really appreciate this information. Just downloaded filefactory AVI version of episode 19 and the whole episode’s video and audio is out of sync. Hope it’s fixed soon with a smaller screen size and better resolution. Not exactly a great start for the new team but welcome aboard and nice try. Please re-upload ep.19 AVI, thanks.

Episode 19 ..please upload RMVB Format!

Just want to ask… is the MKV for ep19 also the same as the AVI(audio out of sync)?

I like rmvb because it is small file size but still good quality.

The mkv files aren’t out of sync, it seems whatever converter those people used is screwing up the same way MediaCoder is for me. At any rate, I’m no longer attempting to use MediaCoder, I’ve got a different tool for each of the formats.

I’m with Steven I need the 480p version in AVI 720 just doesn’t work on my computer. Is there anyway you can upload the 480p version for AVI on Megupload.

when is the next episode (20) coming out?

@Shredhead: The AVI currently loaded is 704×400 resolution, according to MPC. Have you tried using Media Player Classic or GOM player? They create less overhead so files will play clean. I get 1280×720 mkv files playing nicely on a 1.8GHz laptop processor with MPC, whereas using VLC or WMP will stutter and tear.

@snuffles: The episodes are released weekly, monday usually (sometimes they’re late)

actaully I tried media player classic first and my computer had to completely restart. My computer isn’t very well good and I wont be able to change that situation for a very long time. All I know is that all the other Megupload AVI files I downloaded here worked and this one didn’t.

Thanks Justin for re-uploading ep.19. Clear HQ and just the right screen size at 704×400. Just a request, can you do the same for Episode 13 The Beast of Dublith with HQ cos the filefactory AVI has a rather small screen size whereas megaupload and rapidshare is kinda grainy in the large screensize. Would appreciate it if you could. I’m trying to compile all episodes with a similar resolution. Once again a big thank you.

@Shredhead: If you’re willing to deal with a watermark in the center of the screen (non-free converter), I can re-encode an AVI for you. Otherwise, if you know a good free converter program, I seem to have problems with the others I’ve tried (dying halfway through and audio sync issues).

@Ben: I’ll get one and upload it, check back in a couple hours. If it’s not there it means I fell asleep.

@Kaustuv: You can read the manga at One Manga or Manga Fox I don’t think you can get direct downloads from either of them though.

@Shredhead: I’ve got a slightly smaller AVI (no watermarks or audio issues) that I’m uploading now.

The reason it won’t be available is due to the “Berlin World Championships tournament” airing at the same time om TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting system).

Actually, DaftMink, at the end of Episode 20, it states that the new episode is “The Fool’s Progress”, which is what Wikipedia also had a few days ago. I will change it to match the source, but it’s essentially the same thing, just differences in translation.

If you want high quality episode download in MKV.

The only downside is it takes alot of resources to decode such a large resolution.

@kitty: For the ones I’ve uploaded (19 and 20), you can use the torrent (1280×720 by Eclipse or 720p by TMD) or the MegaUpload (which is the Eclipse file). Those are the highest quality available.

Sorry ya’ll this has just been too much of a pain for me work with and the site defacement was a great frustration, though you all lucked out since there was no episode released last week. theres a mistake on your list. the episode you have up for ep 30 is actually ep 31. eclipse has ep 30 out, and its titled Ishbal Extermination.
